Green spaces galore

Brook Green is at the very beating heart of our dog-friendly patch and provides the perfect spot for both morning and evening walks. With designated dog exercise areas and plenty of open space, it's just ideal for a game of fetch or just letting your dog stretch its legs.

Only a short stroll away there’s also Ravenscourt Park which offers 20 acres of public gardens and green space to explore. It features three dedicated dog play areas – north, centre and south – offering your four-legged companion plenty of variety. With abundant trees and pathways, it's a sensory wonderland for curious canines.

For those seeking more extensive adventures, the Thames Path provides a scenic riverside route from Hammersmith toward Chiswick and beyond. Lined with trees and offering beautiful river views and if you're feeling particularly energetic, you can go all the way to Twickenham. Better still, you'll pass lots of dog-friendly riverside pubs along the way.

Café culture with canines

Talking of refreshments, after a brisk morning walk our local pub and café scene welcomes dogs with open arms – and often treats! The Queen's Head, overlooking Brook Green, is a particular favourite among dog owners. It has one of West London's largest pub gardens and to keep your dog entertained, it has a large resident squirrel population. It also boasts water bowls and a dog-friendly interior for colder days, making it the perfect post-walk destination.

Coffee Station on King Street is another go-to spot for dog owners offering a plant-filled oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Dogs are always welcome making it an ideal spot to enjoy brunch while your dog relaxes by your side.

For something truly special, try Outsider Tart. It is an authentic American bakery that goes above and beyond for canine customers. Their "Barkery" features homemade treats guaranteed to get tails wagging, and they've even been known to host puppy weddings!

Pet care excellence

When it comes to keeping your pooch in tip-top condition, our patch of West London also delivers exceptional pet care options. Village Vet Brackenbury has been in West London since the 1930s and offers consultations six days a week. It holds regular puppy parties where you can learn all about keeping your dog healthy and allow your puppy can socialise with other young dogs in a relaxed environment.

For budget-conscious pet parents the Blue Cross animal hospital in Hammersmith provides affordable veterinary care Monday to Friday.

When your pooch needs pampering, Peters Posh Pets offers professional grooming services to keep your companion looking and feeling their best. From a simple wash after muddy walks to full styling, they have you covered.

Community spirit

There is no doubt Brook Green is a dog-loving community, from the friendly faces you'll meet on daily walks to all the businesses that go out of their way to welcome pets, the area embodies a special kind of canine camaraderie that we're proud to be part of.

And Hammersmith & Fulham Council clearly shares that view, having designated 15 dog parks and exercise areas across the borough. Besides Brook Green itself, nearby options include Wendell Park and Furnivall Gardens, ensuring you're never far from a space where your dog can play freely.
